Dr. Catriona Buist is a licensed psychologist in Oregon & Washington.   She provides services at the OHSU Comprehensive Pain Center as a practicing pain psychologist.   Prior to that she was the Clinical Director of the interdisciplinary CARF accredited pain program at Progressive Rehabilitation Associates for 11 years.   She serves as the Chair for the Oregon Pain Management Commission.  She is involved in several other committees as wells to advocate for all patients to have access to comprehensive quality multidisciplinary pain services across Oregon.   She specializes in working with patients who live with chronic pain and other chronic medical conditions to help improve their function and quality of life.

NW Spine Surgery


Dr. Darrell Brett has been in practice at the same location in Portland Oregon since 1984.  In 1990 he sub-specialized in spine surgery only and no longer performs intracranial surgery electively.   He performs approximately 750 spine surgeries per year, mainly involving the cervical and lumbar spine.   He has excellent clinical outcome scores in the top 1% of his national peers and has an infection rate of less than .01% per year.  Dr. Brett has been open to working with the chiropractic profession since starting practice and has taken patient referrals from DC’s for 35 years. He is willing to evaluate patients and provide the services in the surgical piece when necessary.
