2016-CA1: VITALS -- ( Meets the OBCE -- CA Requirement for Initial Renewal) Presented by Dr. Andrea Herrst

This course is for Chiropractic Assistants (CAs) needing the required CE to meet the OBCE -- CA certificate initial renewal course on Taking VITALs.

ALL CAs must complete 2 hours in Vitals to include lecture and demonstration (as presented here). 

 In addition to this course the CA is required to do the following:

In addition, a practical (not included in the two hours) session is required for each CA. The CA must complete 20 documented checks of each of the following:

1.     Blood pressure

2.     Pulse

3.     Respiration

4.     Body temperature**

A minimum of 10 different people must be tested. 

   ** Measuring respiration can be done by auscultation (listening with a stethoscope) to count the breaths or observing movements of the chest.
